desCriPtion
The Extron MLS 304MA and MLS 304SA MediaLink Switchers are four input, multi-format
active switchers with integrated audio amplifiers. Both models provide composite video,
computer-video, and audio switching, and are economical solutions for single-projector
classrooms and boardrooms. Each switcher includes two line level audio outputs, one fixed
and one variable, which can be configured for mono or stereo output via RS-232.
The MLS 304MA and MLS 304SA include two inputs for composite video with stereo audio on
RCA connectors and two inputs for computer-video with stereo audio on 15-pin HD and 3.5 mm
stereo mini jacks. Inputs three and four are configurable via RS-232 for computer-video, as well
as composite video using an Extron 15-pin HD to BNC-5 female cable assembly.
Both switchers are equipped with dual RGB outputs on five BNC connectors and a 15-pin HD
connector that outputs RGB video independently or simultaneously. The 15-pin HD output
connector can display switched RGB inputs or function as a buffered loop-through for a local
monitor, eliminating the need for a distribution amplifier.
MediaLink Switchers are designed to be used in conjunction with a MediaLink Controller to
facilitate low-cost integration. They can also be used as stand-alone switchers.
