DVCM 50 • Conﬁ guration and Operation

PRELIMINARY

Locking the Front Panel (Executive Mode)

To prevent access by unauthorized users, or accidental button presses to issue

unwanted commands to devices, the front panel controls can be locked using

executive mode. When the DVCM 50 is in executive mode, all front panel functions

are locked, so that pressing the buttons has no effect.

To enable executive mode, press and hold the Tuner W and X buttons

simultaneously for 5 seconds. When the DVCM enters executive mode, the

DVD and VCR LEDs light and remain lit.

Buttons for executive mode: press and hold for 5 seconds

To exit executive mode, press the same two buttons again, holding them for

5 seconds. The DVCM 50 reverts to its last operating mode prior to entering

executive mode.
