c Page Timeout panel
This panel is used to automatically close (log out) the connection between the viewer
and the SME100 after a specified amount of idle time has passed. This feature helps
manage available bandwidth, especially when a large amount of users are accessing
the SME100 to view streams. A setting of 0 hours and 0 minutes means the timeout
feature on the Live View page is disabled.
NOTE: If both the Hours and Mins drop-down menus are specified, the specified
hours and minutes of idle time must pass before the SME100 closes
(logs out) the connection. For example, if the Hours drop-down menu is set to 2
and the Mins drop-down menu is set to 15, the SME100 will wait for 2 hours and
15 minutes of idle time to pass before closing (logging out) the connection to the
stream.
• Hours — Use this drop-down menu to set the number of inactive hours that must
pass before the SME100 closes (logs out) the connection to the stream. The range
of settings is 0 to 23.
• Mins — Use this drop-down menu to set the number of inactive minutes that must
pass before the SME100 closes (logs out) the connection to the stream. The range
of settings is 0 to 55, in increments of 5.
When the connection between the viewer and the SME100 is about to be closed
(logged out) a notification message appears at the bottom of the web page (figure 75).

d Streaming Methods
This drop-down menu selects from the available unicast RTP pull streaming methods
(see "Protocols Used for Streaming" on page 20) to assist with network compatibility
where ports may be closed or blocked due to firewall settings:
• Auto – Selects the best streaming method (starting with RTP, then RTP/RTSP, then
RTP/RTSP/HTTP) that will be used with the firewall configuration.
NOTE: If you are uncertain about your firewall settings, select this setting.
• RTP (default) – Uses RTP over UDP to send stream packets to the requested
location.
• RTP/RTSP – Interleaved RTSP; sends stream packets over RTSP using TCP.
• RTP/RTSP/HTTP – HTTP tunneling; sends stream packets over HTTP using TCP.
